My last day with Heather

It's kind of sad that I will be leaving Kansas soon. I will sure miss Heather but it might be nice to spend some time at a quieter house. Heather took a bunch of pictures of me and some of them turned out really neat!
She made sure to get a picture of me with all the kids!

She was also able to get PROOF! that the new cat has been harassing me!! I think I might just have to take legal action.

Heather's mommy and daddy told her to cuddle me real tight since this was the last night I would get to spend with her. I think the cuddles went both ways.

I am looking forward to a new adventure and I can't wait to see where the postman takes me. It's been fun here at Heather's house and I will never forget her but it's time to move on!

Library Time and Playgroup

Thursday is the day for Library Time and then Playgroup. It's such a busy day but it is SO fun. We start off at the library. They have SO many books there

There are also SO many friends (Zoe, Zipporah and Heather)

There were songs (Hokey Pokey, Ring Around the Rosie were some of my favorites)

There was also a Felix pretending to be a chiropractor and "cracking my bones"

Felix was VERY tired and passed out on the way home. I got to cuddle him!

We stayed home for about an hour and a half and then headed to Jesse and Jenna's house for playgroup. They have a great big basement that has all sorts of fun toys. We even got to plant some flowers!

I was forced to be the "baby" by Heather and her girlfriends. It wasn't too bad since they were real nice to me.

What a day... we had a good time with our friends!

The Old West Town...

Today we went to an old west town in Topeka. We saw some neat things! It was also a beautiful day!

We "monkeyed" around on the old postal cart. Can you believe they used to use this to take mail back and forth all over the state? With horses???? It's amazing how far we have come. I mean, think about it, this monkey has been to Sweden!!! That is just amazing.

Next we went to the train. It was a big train. I liked sitting on the front of it.

I got to enjoy some yummy "Birch Beer" and I had a good amount. I was starting to get an upset tummy from all the soda.

I had a really good time. I think I'm going to stay until Thursday. I'll go to the library with Heather and then I'll shuffle off to my next destination. I don't know where I'm going but I'm sure it will be tons of fun.

Heather's Playgroup and BABY CHICKENS!

Today we went to Heather's friend JW's house. He lives out in the country so they got some chickens this year. We got to see all the babies and pet them. It was a really fun time. Jenna and her mom helped Heather and I pet one of the babies.

I got to sit on top of the chick house. I was kind of nervous but with the help of Jenna's mom I was able to sit just right.

One of Heather's brothers, "Romy" was kind enough to hold onto me for a little bit and we decided to take a nice picture together.

Heather then decided to be "Ariel" from The Little Mermaid on a big rock in JW's yard. She decided I would get to be the "Sea Monkey". I think I might like this "Sea Monkey" gig.

I hear that Heather is getting two new cats tomorrow! I can't believe I get to be here and see them! I'm so excited! I'm sure we will take LOTS of pictures with the new family members.

Miles goes to church!

Heather goes to St. Dominic's Catholic Church every Wednesday evening for something they call "CCD". She has a really fun time and gets to play at the playground before church. We did some "monkeying around".

 

Then we went into her class. We had an awesome snack of Cinnamon Toast Crunch and juice. We learned a whole lot and made some neat binoculars. Here we are in front of her classroom board with all the kids pictures on it.

We then went and waited for the rest of the kids so we could go home. I think Heather might need some more "Church Time" because that kid was throwing the horns... at church!

Thursday we are going to playgroup again! This time we are going to Heather's friends JW and Jace's house. They have baby chicks that we will get to see! I am SO excited!

Heather's Playgroup

On Tuesday Heather's mom packed up some food and we went to the park for playgroup. It was the biggest turnout they had ever had too! I got to meet so many kids. The park was so fun!

Heather then tried to get me to go down the slide by myself. I don't think I enjoyed it as much as I thought I would.

I tried the teeter totter with Eddie and Felix but I think Felix was more excited about trying to eat my brains.

I then tried out the small rock wall. It didn't go as planned but it was still really fun to try out.

Next up is church class. I can't wait to meet all of Heather's classroom friends.

What a day...

Today was interesting. Did you know that Heather has 10 acres to play on? It's insane! We spent so much time outside. I met a new friend too! It's nice not being the only monkey in town.

Heather's sister Beth thought I needed a "dramatic" pose so she lined this up for me. I think it's fitting.

I only met the doggies quickly. I think they were hungry because Tamarack looked like she might want a monkey snack.

They have this neat rope swing that I got to swing on. Heather got to swing some too but her Mommy had to help her so she wasn't able to take any pictures.

Heather's brothers thought I needed a SuperMonkey picture as well so they made me look like I was flying. The sky was beautiful!

Finally we had to go to bed. I was SO sleepy and so was Heather from all of our playing. It's been an interesting first day here and I think I'm going to enjoy my stay. I've heard rumors of a playgroup and visits to the library!

I think they call this Kansas

Today I found myself in Kansas. I will be hanging out with Heather's family for a week. I'm really excited. There are SO many kids to play with. I arrived this morning by red truck. Mr. Leon is the nice postman who delivered me. Heather was super excited to open the package. Sara had packed me nice and comfy in the box and had even sent along a really neat pin from Washington, DC. I heard rumors that the Mandala's were getting kitty cats next week so hopefully I'll get to meet them before I leave. I'm also hoping that we can convince Heather's Daddy to take me to work with him. He works at a really neat place called the "KBI" helping the agents catch bad guys. Today I think we are just going to chill out and do some housework and yard work. I'm going to meet Heather's doggies. I'm kind of nervous because they are BIG. I can't wait to spend the week here. It's going to be so fun!
