Christmas Celebrations in IL

The first night I spent here I got to sleep with Annalise. I wasn't sure there would be enough room with all the other animals in that bed of hers.

This is me in the car again. They tell me I am going to spend a lot of time in this car this week as the family is traveling all over the state of IL this week. Annalise was nice enough to share her smoothie with me.

We went to a Christmas/Hannaka celebration at Annalise's mom's aunt's house. This is me enjoying dinner with Annalise, Ian, and Annalise's two second cousins.

Annalise's Great Aunt collects lighted houses.

On Sunday I went to church. It was a special Sunday for Annalise. She and her preschool class got to sing Joy to the World in front of the church. Annalise's mommy wouldn't let me go up on stage during the singing but I did get to sit up there after church was over.

After church Annalise's Mommy and Daddy belong to a group their church calls a Life Group. While the grownups talk upstairs, the kids hang out with all the toys in the basement. This is me at group with Annalise's babysitter. Although, I won't be here when Riley comes to watch the kids I got to meet her.

On Monday we went to Sapora Playworld. It is like a giant Mc Donalds playland. Annalise's mommy likes to go there now that Ian is big enough to go play too and she doesn't have to crawl through the tunnels much anymore.

Because the Schmidts won't be at their house on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day they exchanged their family gifts on Monday afternoon. They seemed to be very excited about Ian. Apparently it was the first time ever he opened presents.

Today there is a packing frenzy around here. They tell me we are going to Chicago to look at lights and go to Macys formally Marshall Fields. Then we are supposed to sleep in the car while we drive south to Peoria.
